I am off to the Sri Lanka Festival in Yoyogi Park this weekend. Hope to try some great food and have lots to write about it afterwards.

The festival is on October 14 and 15 from 10am to 6pm.

Why “Yummy 食べイコー”

I have long been a user of restaurant search engines when trying to find places to eat in and around Tokyo. Recently I got to thinking; "with all I eat… maybe I should keep a record of the places I like etc". For that reason I decided to have a go at writing a blog. I have often thought of trying to write a coffee table book on great Tokyo dining experiences (my partner is a photographer, so I'd have the image side of things sorted) and have often wondered what I'd call my book. Yummy Tabe Iko is a play on the lyrics from Puffy's "nagisa ni matsuwaru etc", where they sing "kani tabe iko"… although my blog title should be "Yummy tabe ni iko", I did away with grammar and went with the songs style. Possibly not a good name for a book, but I like it for my blog!

I hope that people will read this blog and might enjoy the restaurants I suggest etc, but mainly it's for me… a way to pass the time on a rainy Sunday and also to keep a record of the food I like and the restaurants I've enjoyed.
